I was given
the once in a lifetime opportunity January 22, 2005 to purchase the
most amazing stallion, and my best friend, Secret Class. Owners Terry
and Debra Broughton made this happen, and to this day, I will be
forever grateful...
Secret Class was known as
“Elvis or Big Man” around the barn, and did he know he was the king!
He could do no wrong, was loved by everyone that had the opportunity
to meet him. He proved to be a champion in the show ring, and just
started his career as a sire producing amazing horses.
“Elvis” passed away October 2nd,
2008. He suffered an un-operatable colic that took him from us. I
will never forget the day, as he did everything we asked, and did it
with all his heart. He put a smile on his face, and gave all his
might to fight. After a long day, it was time to make a decision I
hope no one ever has to go through. It was to put our very best
friend down, and let God take him to a better place.
“Elvis” was
my life, I grew my business around him, lived for him, was so proud of
him... He was the most gorgeous animal I have ever laid eyes on...
.and just about everyone that knew him would tell you the same thing.
He had a presence, that made you laugh and smile when you were around
him. He just knew how to draw everyone to him. He was part of my
life 7 days/week and lived for every minute he got his affection and
love. That’s all he needed in life to be happy...
“Elvis, you
will be in my heart forever, and will never be replaced. You have
left me for a better place, but there is a huge void in my life. I
know your babies will do what they can to help me through this life
changing event. You were my best friend, my life revolved around
you. I will heal one day, and move forward, but never without you.
You wanted to be with us at our new place in Rogue River, OR,, and
here we will all stay forever. I will have my glass of wine with you
every night, so please know you will never be alone. You’re right
outside our bedroom window, I will always make sure you’re safe and
taken care of. I love you my boy....”
